Howdy all! I'm looking online in part because I want to see new things and new people in my own general vicinity. Trying to shake myself up a bit.

I'm a bit idiosyncratic/oxymoronic. I'm an outgoing introvert. A perverted gentleman. A non-comformist who likes to get along. A traditional innovator.

We must always grow and refine, or else we get dull. Smell the roses, meet new people, even if they're the same people you think you've known for years.

I work two jobs. Full-time I do the 9-to-5 paper-pushing desk jockey thing for a healthcare provider. Part-time I teach history & liberal arts both for a local college and online.

I'm pretty active outside of work. Depending on the time of year, I'm participating in softball, basketball, tennis, golf, football, racquetball, and walking/hiking/running. Also very fond of poker, as well as games that don't require you to give me your money. Only too happy to embarass myself at karaoke.

Music - You know how the greatest leaders of our history were put on Mount Rushmore? 4 of them? Music's more essential to me, and I'd have 5 on my monument, in alphabetical order: Johnny Cash, Nick Drake, Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, and Van Morrison. And I wouldn't want to not at least mention Simon & Garfunkel, Tori Amos, Beatles, Stones, White Stripes, Billy Joel, The Police, Nine Inch Nails and The Clash. But I also enjoy indie stuff (Vampire Weekend & Iron and Wine & The Shins) and world music (Gaelic Storm & Mariam and Amadou & Old Blind Dogs) and blues (Muddy Waters & Robert Cray & Mississippi John Hurt) and jazz (Miles Davis & Louis Armstrong & Glenn Miller) and old R&B/soul (Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder) and.... well, suffice it to say that I have wide and varied tastes in music.

Food - Steak Marsala from Carrabba's. Spinach manicotti. Mom's lasagna, or potato salad. Shrimp scampi. A thick medium-rare bacon cheeseburger. Memphis BBQ. Key lime pie. Gyros. Shrimp fried rice. She-crab soup. And a nice glass of Bailey's Irish Cream over ice to cleanse the palette afterwards.

My music collection, a deck of cards, Pepsi/Coke, the Dallas Cowboys, road trips with everyone singing and talking (or alternately flights either with people you'd go on such road trips with or to see such people), and that feeling when you stretch out in your bed at night after a good day.
